Business eSignatures that close the deal and collect the payment

For a business, a signature is rarely the end of the job. Someone has to approve the terms first, the client has to pay a deposit, and you need a record that holds up. Salsox's Business plan puts those steps in the signing flow itself.

Why use it

  • Sign & Pay

The signer pays a fee or deposit by card or mobile money during signing, settled to your own Stripe or Paystack account.

  • Order and approvals

Route a document to an approver before the client, or have signers sign one after another.

  • A record that travels with the file

The signed PDF carries a certificate page with document fingerprints, recipients and the full audit trail.

The three things a business needs from a signature

Getting paid at the moment of agreement

The point at which a client signs is the point at which they are most committed. Asking for the deposit a day later, in a separate invoice, gives them time to hesitate and you a task to chase. With Sign & Pay, you set an amount on the document and choose who pays. That signer completes their fields, pays by card or, through Paystack, by mobile money where it is available, and only then is their signature final. The money goes to your own connected account.

Typical uses: a deposit with a photography or events booking, a setup fee with a service agreement, the first month with a tenancy, a retainer with a consulting engagement.

Getting the right people to sign in the right order

Some documents need an internal sign-off before a client sees them, or one party to sign before the next. On Business, you can make signing sequential, so each recipient is invited only when the previous one has finished, and add approvers, who review and approve without being a contracting party. Viewers and CC recipients see the document or the result without signing.

Keeping a record that holds up

If a client later disputes what they agreed to, you need more than a picture of a signature. For every document, Salsox keeps an append-only audit trail of each view, field and signature with time, IP address and browser, and stores the SHA-256 fingerprint of both the original upload and the signed copy. On Business, that trail is printed on a certificate page inside the signed PDF, so the evidence travels with the file, and a certificate-based digital seal can be applied so PDF readers flag any later change. Every completed document also has a verification code anyone can check on the public verification page.

The parts of running a business it does not get in the way of

  • No envelope counting. Business has no limit on documents sent; fair-use limits only stop spam.
  • Honest billing. Cancel in one click, keep access to the end of the paid period, and get an email before every renewal.
  • Your archive. Export every original, signed PDF and audit trail as a ZIP, any time, including after you cancel.
  • Mobile signers. Clients sign on their phones without an app or account.

What to know before choosing it

Salsox is built for owners and small teams who send their own contracts. It does not offer team seats, shared templates, bulk sending, CRM integrations or an API. If those are central to how you work, the PandaDoc comparison explains when a document-automation suite is the better fit. If they are not, the Business plan costs $19 a month, or $190 a year, with a 14-day trial; the pricing page has the details, and the guide to document approval workflows shows how to set up a sign-off that matches how your business already works.

Frequently asked questions

How does Sign & Pay take money?

You connect a Stripe or Paystack account once and set an amount on a document. The signer pays at the end of signing; the payment goes to your account, not ours. Supported currencies include USD, EUR, GBP, GHS, NGN, KES and ZAR.

Can more than one person in my business send documents?

Plans are per account, and Salsox has no team seats or shared workspaces today. Some small teams share one sender account; larger teams with per-person administration needs may be better served elsewhere.

Is there a trial of the Business plan?

Yes, Business includes a 14-day free trial for an account that has not had a subscription before. You are emailed before any renewal.

What is the audit certificate?

A page appended to the signed PDF listing the document's fingerprints, every recipient and status, and the timestamped audit trail, plus a verification code and QR code anyone can check.
