Use case
eSignature for enterprises: an honest checklist, and where Salsox fits
Large organisations buy e-signatures differently: through IT, security and procurement, against a checklist. Here is that checklist, and a plain account of which items Salsox meets today and which it does not.
How enterprises evaluate e-signatures
A team of three can pick an e-signature tool in an afternoon. A company of three thousand runs a process: security review, legal review, a pilot, procurement. The checklist that process uses is fairly standard, and it is worth seeing before deciding whether a smaller tool can fit anywhere in a large organisation.
The checklist, item by item
Single sign-on (SSO) and user provisioning. Enterprises expect staff to sign in with the company identity provider and accounts to be created and removed automatically. Salsox does not support SAML SSO or automated provisioning. Accounts sign in with a password, a sign-in link or Google, and can turn on two-factor authentication.
Admin console and team management. Large rollouts need central administration: seats, roles, shared templates, usage reports. Salsox has no team seats or admin console; each account is one sender, and saved templates belong to that account.
API and integrations. Contracts often start in a CRM, HR system or procurement platform. Salsox has no public API and no integrations; see the e-signature API page for what that means and who offers one.
Audit trail and evidence. Here Salsox meets the bar for everyday agreements: every document has an append-only audit trail of each view and signature, with time, IP address and device, and Business-plan documents are sealed with a certificate page and a public verification code.
Data export and retention. Every document and audit trail can be exported at any time, on any plan, including after cancellation.
Advanced and qualified signatures. Some regulated processes require qualified electronic signatures or identity verification. Salsox provides simple electronic signatures only.
Signing experience. This is where Salsox is strongest: signers need no account or app, sign one field at a time on any phone, and links can be shared by WhatsApp or SMS as well as email.
Where Salsox can still fit
A full enterprise rollout of Salsox is not realistic today. Where it does fit is at the edges of a large organisation: a regional office or subsidiary in West or East Africa collecting deposits by mobile money, a field team getting forms signed on phones, or a single department that needs something working this week while the central platform is procured. Enterprise terms (support, invoicing and service levels) are available by contact, on top of the Business plan's features.
The honest recommendation
If your evaluation requires SSO, an admin console, an API or enterprise integrations, choose a platform that publishes them today; our comparisons with DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign set out what each offers. If what you need is fast, phone-first signing with payments for a team that can work from a dashboard, Salsox is far simpler and cheaper to run.
Frequently asked questions
Does Salsox support single sign-on (SSO)?
No. Salsox supports email and password, sign-in links, Google sign-in where configured, and two-factor authentication, but not SAML or enterprise SSO.
Does Salsox offer an enterprise plan?
Enterprise terms are available by contact: support, invoicing and service levels as commercial terms. The product itself is the Business plan; there are no extra enterprise-only features.
Which providers suit a large rollout?
Platforms with SSO, admin consoles, APIs and enterprise integrations, such as DocuSign or Adobe Acrobat Sign. Our comparison pages set out what each publishes.
