Online eSignature that works on the phone in your pocket

Get a contract, form or agreement signed in minutes: upload the PDF, add the people who need to sign, and they sign from a link in their email, WhatsApp or SMS. Nobody installs anything.

Why use it

  • Signers need nothing

No app, no account, no password. A signer opens the link, is walked through each field, and is done, usually in under a minute on a phone.

  • Every step is recorded

Who viewed and signed, when, and from which address is kept in an append-only audit trail, and the signed PDF carries a SHA-256 fingerprint.

  • Mistakes are fixable

Sent to the wrong address, or a link expired? Correct it or renew it in place; fields and signatures already given stay where they are.

What an online eSignature is

An online eSignature is a way of agreeing to a document that happens on a screen instead of on paper. You prepare the document once as a PDF, mark where each person signs, and send it. Each signer opens a private link, reviews the pages, and signs by drawing with a finger, typing their name or uploading an image of their signature. When the last person has signed, everyone gets the finished PDF.

The signature itself is the visible part. What makes it useful as evidence is everything recorded around it: the email address the link was sent to, when it was opened, when each field was filled, the IP address and browser of the signer, and a fingerprint of the final file. Salsox keeps that record as an append-only audit trail, and on the Business plan prints it on a certificate page at the end of the signed PDF.

Why signing from a phone matters

Most people who receive a contract today read it on a phone, often between other things. A signing page built for a desktop, with tiny fields to pinch and zoom into, is where agreements stall. Salsox walks the signer through one field at a time with a large button to move on, keeps the page readable at phone width, and does not ask them to create an account first. The link can also be shared over WhatsApp or SMS from the document's page, which is how many signers prefer to be reached.

How it works

  1. Upload the PDF. Any PDF up to 4 MB. The original is stored as it is and never modified.
  2. Add who signs. Up to ten recipients per document, as signers, approvers, viewers or people copied on the result.
  3. Place the fields. Signature, initials, name, date, text and checkboxes, or let Quick Send place a signature and date for each signer automatically.
  4. Send. Each signer gets an email with their link, and you can share the same link by WhatsApp or SMS. Reminders go out every three days until they sign.
  5. Download the signed copy. When everyone has signed, the sealed PDF is stored, emailed to all parties and available to download or export.

When an online eSignature is the right tool

Online signing suits the agreements most people and small businesses deal with: client contracts, service agreements, consent and onboarding forms, quotes, leases, offer letters and NDAs. It removes printing, scanning and couriers, and it gives you a record you can show later.

It is not the right tool for documents your jurisdiction requires to be signed in ink or witnessed in person, such as wills and some property deeds in many countries. For those, the law, not the software, decides. The guide to whether electronic signatures are legal covers the main frameworks and their exceptions.

Try it before you pay

You can sign a PDF yourself with the free Sign PDF tool, which works in your browser without an account. To collect signatures from other people, a free account sends three documents a month, with every signing feature that sending needs. When you outgrow that, pricing is flat per account rather than per envelope: Personal and Business have no envelope counts at all.

Frequently asked questions

Is an online eSignature legally binding?

In most countries an electronic signature is valid for ordinary contracts, including under the US ESIGN Act and UETA, the EU's eIDAS Regulation and Ghana's Electronic Transactions Act. Some documents, such as wills in many places, still need ink. Check the rules for your document and country.

Do the people signing need an account?

No. Each signer gets a private link. They open it, review the document, fill their fields and sign. Only the person sending needs an account.

Can I sign a document myself without sending it to anyone?

Yes. The free Sign PDF tool lets you add your own signature to a PDF in your browser and download it, without an account and without uploading the file.

How much does it cost?

A free account sends 3 documents a month. Personal is $9 a month for unlimited documents (with fair-use limits that stop spam), and Business is $19 a month and adds Sign & Pay, signing order and sealed PDFs.
