Where SignWell is stronger
SignWell gives more to people who send the same documents repeatedly: templates on every plan, unlimited on Business, plus bulk sending and template links. Its API includes a free monthly allowance, useful for a small developer integration. Its Business plan includes three senders, which suits a small team where several people send under one account with their own logins. If templates or an API are central to how you work, SignWell covers them and Salsox does not.
Where Salsox is different
Getting paid at signing. Salsox's Business plan includes Sign & Pay: a deposit or fee is paid by card through Stripe, or by card and mobile money through Paystack, as part of signing. Payment collection is not listed on SignWell's pricing page.
Signing order and approvers. Salsox Business supports sequential signing and an approver role for internal sign-off before a client sees a document.
WhatsApp and SMS. Every Salsox signing link can be shared to WhatsApp or SMS from the document page.
Fixes in place. A wrong email or an expired link is corrected or renewed on the same document.
Free tools. The free browser tools sign and fill PDFs without an account or upload.
Switching between them
Download your completed documents and their audit trails before closing either account; they stay valid records, and nothing needs to be signed again. SignWell templates do not carry over to Salsox, which does not import other providers' templates: for each document, start from one of Salsox's ready-made templates or upload the PDF and place fields in the editor. If you used SignWell's API, that integration has no equivalent in Salsox. Try one of your regular documents in both before deciding, and time how long setup takes.
Which should you choose?
Choose SignWell if templates, bulk sending or an API save you real time. Choose Salsox if you want to collect deposits as clients sign, especially by mobile money, or need a signing order with approvals. The free plans are close enough that the quickest way to decide is to send one real document through each.
