Salsox vs DocuSign
DocuSign is the best-known e-signature platform, with a deep feature set and pricing built around users and envelopes. Salsox is a smaller tool priced per account with no envelope count. Here is how they compare on the facts each publishes.

List prices are a starting point, not the whole bill. DocuSign sells add-ons and negotiates larger contracts, and taxes vary by country; Salsox adds nothing beyond the plan price, though payment providers charge their own fees on Sign & Pay transactions.
Where DocuSign is stronger
DocuSign has been building e-signature software for two decades, and its breadth shows. It offers reusable templates, bulk sending, conditional routing (listed under its Enhanced plans), a public API for starting signing from other systems, a large catalogue of integrations, and administration features for organisations with many senders. If your signing happens inside a CRM, at volume, or under an IT department's controls, those features matter, and Salsox does not have them.
Where Salsox is different
How sending is counted. DocuSign's published plans set envelope allowances: 5 a month on Personal, 100 per user per year on Standard and Business Pro. Salsox's paid plans do not count envelopes at all. If your volume varies, or you would rather not track it, that removes a recurring decision.
What payment collection costs. On DocuSign's list, collecting payment during signing starts at Business Pro, $540 per user per year. Salsox includes Sign & Pay on Business at $190 a year, with Stripe for cards and Paystack for card and mobile money payments across several African markets.
Fixing mistakes. In Salsox, a mistyped recipient address is corrected in place and an expired document is renewed with one click, keeping the signatures already given.
Reaching signers. Any Salsox signing link can be shared over WhatsApp or SMS from the document page, alongside email, without an add-on. DocuSign lists SMS delivery as an add-on charged per delivery, with a small one-time allowance on Standard.
Leaving. Salsox exports every original, signed PDF and audit trail in one ZIP on every plan, including after you cancel.
Which should you choose?
Choose DocuSign if you need templates, bulk sending, integrations or an API today, or if your organisation already standardises on it. Choose Salsox if you are an individual or a small business that sends its own contracts, wants signers to finish on their phones, wants to take a deposit with the signature, and would rather pay a flat price than count envelopes. The DocuSign alternative page covers the switch in more practical detail, including for small businesses on a tight budget.
Frequently asked questions
Is Salsox cheaper than DocuSign?
For a single sender, yes on published list prices: Salsox Personal is $90 a year with no envelope count, against DocuSign Personal at $132 a year with 5 envelopes a month (as listed on 6 October 2026). For teams the comparison depends on seats, because DocuSign prices per user.
Does Salsox limit envelopes like DocuSign?
Paid Salsox plans do not count envelopes. Fair-use limits (such as 10 recipients per document and caps for brand-new accounts) exist to stop spam. The free plan sends 3 documents a month.
What does DocuSign do that Salsox does not?
A great deal: templates, bulk send, conditional routing, a public API, hundreds of integrations, team administration and enterprise controls. If you rely on those, DocuSign is the stronger choice.
Can I move my signed documents from DocuSign to Salsox?
Download your completed PDFs from DocuSign and keep them as your archive. Salsox does not import another provider's envelopes or audit trails; new documents start fresh.
