Photography Services Contract
This Contract is made on 10 October 2026 between Lumen Lens Studio (the "Photographer") and Dzifa and Kofi Mensah (the "Client").
1. Booking
Shoot: Wedding, on 12 December 2026, at Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra. Coverage: 10:00 to 20:00, ten hours.
2. What is included
- coverage by two photographers;
- at least 500 edited, high-resolution images;
- an online gallery for viewing and download for 12 months; and
- a 30-page printed album.
3. Fees and deposit
The total fee is GHS 15,000. A non-refundable booking deposit of GHS 6,000 is due on signing; the date is reserved only once it is paid. The balance of GHS 9,000 is due 14 days before the shoot. Overtime is charged at GHS 1,200 per hour or part hour.
4. Client responsibilities
The Client will share a schedule and list of key people and shots two weeks before the shoot, arrange any venue permission for photography, and provide a meal and breaks during long coverage.
5. Delivery
Edited images will be delivered within six weeks through an online gallery. Selection and editing style are at the Photographer's professional discretion, consistent with the portfolio shown to the Client. Unedited files are not delivered.
6. Image rights
The Photographer keeps copyright in all images. The Client receives a personal, non-exclusive licence to print, share and post them, with credit where practical. Commercial use or resale needs the Photographer's written consent. The Photographer may use selected images in their portfolio; Client opts out: No.
7. Cancellation and changes
If the Client cancels, the deposit is kept; if they cancel within 60 days of the shoot, 50% of the balance is also due. If the Photographer cannot attend, they will arrange a replacement of similar standard or refund all payments made.

8. Liability
The Photographer's liability is limited to the fees paid, and does not cover shots missed because of venue rules, weather, or guests' actions. This Contract is governed by the laws of Ghana.

About the Photography contract template
A photography booking is a promise to be somewhere on a date you cannot sell twice. The contract has to protect that date, set what the client receives, and say who may use the pictures afterwards.
This template does it with a non-refundable deposit that secures the booking, a balance due before the shoot, an overtime rate, a delivery timeline, and an image-rights clause: you keep copyright, the client gets a personal licence to print and share, and commercial use needs your consent. Why should a photography deposit be non-refundable?
Booking a date means turning away other clients for it. A non-refundable deposit, often 25 to 50 percent, compensates for that if the client cancels.
Who owns the copyright in the photos?
In many countries the photographer keeps copyright and grants the client a licence to use the images. This template does that, and lists what the client may and may not do.
