Social Media Management Contract

This contract is made on 24 October 2026 between Kofi Boateng, trading as Brightfeed Social (the "Manager") and Harbour Physiotherapy Clinic (the "Client"). It starts on 1 November 2026.

1. Services

The Manager will manage the Client's accounts on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, providing:

  • content: 12 feed posts and 8 stories a month across the platforms, written and designed by the Manager;
  • community management: replies to comments and messages on business days between 9:00 and 17:00, within 4 business hours; and
  • a monthly report covering reach, engagement, follower growth, website clicks and ad results, with recommendations for the next month.

2. Approval

Content follows a content calendar shared by the 25th of each month for the following month, approved by the client within 3 business days. Nothing is published without the Client's approval. Urgent posts outside the calendar need the Client's approval in writing, which may be by message.

3. Sensitive messages

The Manager will follow this rule: any complaint, medical question or review mentioning a named clinician is passed to the client without a reply. The Client is responsible for answering escalated messages.

4. Advertising

Ad spend is paid directly by the client to the platforms, up to GBP 500 a month as agreed in each calendar. The Manager will not spend beyond the approved amount and is not responsible for the platforms' charges.

5. Access

The Client will give the Manager access through each platform's business or role-based tools. Neither party will share personal passwords. The Client keeps ownership of all accounts, pages and followers.

6. Fees

The Client will pay GBP 1,250 a month, invoiced in advance and due within 14 days. Extra work, such as photo shoots or video production, is quoted separately.

7. Content and ownership

The Client owns the content the Manager creates under this contract once it is paid for. The Manager may use published posts in its portfolio. Stock images and music are used under their own licences.

8. Term and ending

This contract has a minimum term of three months. After that, either party may end it with 30 days written notice. On ending, the Manager will hand over the content calendar and remove its own access within 5 business days.

9. Responsibility

The Client is responsible for the accuracy of facts, offers and claims it approves. The Manager is not responsible for changes the platforms make to their rules, reach or features.

10. Governing law

This contract is governed by the law of England and Wales.

About the Social media management contract template

Social media management is a retainer, not a project: the same work repeats every month, so the contract needs to say what a month includes. This template sets the platforms, the number of posts, how content is approved before it goes out, and how quickly comments and messages are answered.

It deals with the two things clients worry about most. First, the brand's voice: nothing is published without approval through a monthly calendar, and sensitive messages, such as complaints or questions that need a professional answer, are passed to the client instead of being answered by the manager. Second, money for ads: the ad budget is paid by the client directly to the platforms and capped per month, so the manager's fee and the ad spend never get mixed.

Access is handled properly too: the manager is added as a user through each platform's business tools, never by sharing the client's password, and is removed when the contract ends.

Questions

Should the client share their social media passwords?

No. Platforms let businesses add managers with their own logins and roles. This template requires that, so access can be removed cleanly at the end.

Who pays for ads?

The client, directly to the platform, within the monthly limit agreed in the calendar. The manager's fee covers running the ads, not the ad spend itself.

Can the client cancel at any time?

After the minimum term, with 30 days' notice. A short minimum term gives the strategy time to show results without locking the client in.
