Statement of Work

SOW number: SOW-2026-014 Date: 18 October 2026

This Statement of Work is issued under the Master Services Agreement dated 2 March 2026 (the "Agreement") between Codebridge Ltd (the "Provider") and Unity Microfinance PLC (the "Client"). The Agreement's terms apply; if they conflict, the Agreement prevails unless this SOW expressly says otherwise.

1. Project overview

Build a loan-application flow inside the client's existing mobile app, so customers can apply for a loan and upload documents without visiting a branch.

2. Objectives

  • launch the application flow to all Android users; and
  • cut average application time below ten minutes.

Out of scope: changes to the credit-scoring engine, iOS release, and hosting.

3. Deliverables and milestones

2Beta release to 500 users20 December 2026GHS 45,000
3Full release and handover31 January 2027GHS 35,000

4. Acceptance

The Client will review each deliverable within five working days and either accept it in writing or list the specific changes needed to meet this SOW. A deliverable is accepted if the Client does not respond in that time or puts it into live use.

5. Change requests

Changes to scope must be requested in writing. The Provider will reply with the effect on timeline and fees, and a change takes effect only when both parties approve it in writing. Until a change is approved, the Provider continues to work to this SOW as signed.

The Client will give the Provider timely access to the people, systems and test accounts each milestone needs; delays in access move the affected due dates by the same amount.

6. Fees

Total fees are GHS 100,000, invoiced per milestone on acceptance and payable within 30 days under the Agreement's payment terms.

7. Contacts

Provider: Kofi Adu, kofi@codebridge.example. Client: Adjoa Bentil, adjoa@unity.example.

About the Statement of work template

A statement of work is how a services relationship stays manageable over several projects. The legal terms (liability, ownership, payment terms) are agreed once in a master agreement; each project then gets its own short SOW that says exactly what will be delivered, by when, and for how much.

The parts of this template that prevent scope disputes are the out-of-scope list, the milestone table that ties each payment to a deliverable, and the acceptance clause: the client has a fixed number of days to accept or list specific changes, and silence or live use counts as acceptance. A change-request clause means new work is priced and approved before it happens.

Each SOW is signed separately. With Salsox you send it, the client signs on their phone, and the signed copy sits next to the master agreement in your records.

Questions

What is the difference between a contract and a statement of work?

The contract sets the legal terms of the relationship once: payment terms, ownership, liability. Each SOW then describes a single project under it. You sign the contract once and a new SOW for each project.

How detailed should the deliverables be?

Detailed enough that someone outside the project could tell whether each one was delivered. Vague deliverables are the most common cause of scope disputes.

Does a statement of work need to be signed?

Yes. A signed SOW is the client's approval of scope and price, and it is what you point to when a change request arrives.
