About the Work order template
A work order is the paper trail of a job: it authorises the work before it starts and records what was done when it finishes. Maintenance teams, contractors and repair businesses use it to dispatch technicians, track parts, invoice accurately and settle any later question about what happened.
This template covers both ends. The top half is the request: customer, site, contact, what is wrong, priority and when the technician will attend. The bottom half is the close-out: labour, parts and call-out fee priced on the spot, a description of the work done, and the customer's signature confirming the job is complete and the charges are agreed.
That signature is what makes invoicing quick and disputes rare. With Salsox, the customer signs on the technician's phone before they leave site, and the office has the signed work order at once.

Questions
What is the difference between a work order and a purchase order?
A purchase order is the buyer ordering goods or services. A work order is the job instruction and record used by whoever does the work, often created from a customer request.
Why should the customer sign the work order?
Their signature confirms the work was completed and the charges are agreed, which makes invoicing and payment straightforward.
Can technicians get work orders signed on site?
Yes. Send the work order for e-signature and the customer signs on the technician's phone or their own before the technician leaves.
