Event Sponsorship Agreement
This Sponsorship Agreement is made on 14 November 2026 between Startup Week Accra (the "Organiser") and Volta Bank PLC (the "Sponsor").
1. The event
Startup Week Accra 2027, held on 17 to 21 March 2027 at Accra International Conference Centre (the "Event").
2. Sponsorship
The Sponsor is a Gold sponsor of the Event and will pay GHS 120,000, 50% on signing and 50% by 15 February 2027.
3. Benefits
The Organiser will provide logo on the main stage backdrop, website and badges; a 15-minute keynote slot; a 6 by 3 metre exhibition stand; 20 full passes; and a post-event report. The Organiser will send a report after the Event with attendance figures and photographs of each placement.
4. Exclusivity
The Organiser will not accept another sponsor in banking and financial services for the Event.

5. Brand use
The Sponsor will supply logo artwork by 31 January 2027 and grants the Organiser a licence to use it for the Event only. The Organiser will show the Sponsor how its brand will appear before printing. Neither party will use the other's brand beyond this Agreement.
6. Cancellation and postponement
If the Event is cancelled or postponed, the Sponsor will receive a full refund if the organiser cancels, or the choice of a refund or transfer to new dates if the event is postponed. The Organiser's liability is limited to the fee paid.

7. General
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Ghana and may be signed electronically.

About the Event sponsorship agreement template
Sponsorship deals go wrong when benefits are listed loosely: "logo placement" can mean a banner or a footnote. This agreement turns the sponsorship package into specific, checkable deliverables (where the logo appears, how long the stage slot is, how many passes, what report follows) so both sides know what was bought.
It also covers what sponsors care about most after visibility: category exclusivity (no competing bank on the same stage), approval of how their brand is used, and protection if the event is cancelled or postponed. Organisers get a payment schedule that funds the event before it happens, a deadline for logo artwork, and a limit on their liability.

What should a sponsorship agreement include?
