3. Rules

I will follow the safety rules: wear the harness and helmet at all times, follow every instruction from staff, stay clipped in on the course, and do not take part after drinking alcohol. I understand that staff may stop me taking part if I do not.

4. Release

To the extent the law allows, I release Aburi Adventure Park, its staff and agents from claims for injury, loss or damage arising from the ordinary risks of the activity described above. This release does not apply to death or personal injury caused by the provider's negligence, or to anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

About the Liability waiver template

A liability waiver does two jobs. It makes sure participants understand the real risks of an activity before they choose to take part, and it records that they accepted those risks. For gyms, adventure parks, sports clubs and event organisers, it is standard paperwork.

This template is written to be read, not skimmed. It names the activity and its specific risks in plain language, lists the safety rules the participant agrees to follow, asks for a health declaration for the conditions that matter for this activity, and records an emergency contact. The release covers the ordinary risks of the activity.

Waivers have limits, and the form says so: in most countries a business cannot exclude liability for its own negligence causing death or injury, and an overreaching waiver may be unenforceable entirely. Participants initial the risks and the health declaration. With Salsox, guests sign on their phones at the gate.

Questions

Does a liability waiver protect my business completely?

No. It records that participants understood and accepted the ordinary risks, but in most countries you cannot exclude liability for your own negligence causing death or personal injury.

Can minors sign a waiver?

Generally not. A parent or legal guardian should sign for anyone under 18, and even then the waiver's effect may be limited.

Should the waiver include a health declaration?

Yes, for physical activities. Asking about the conditions that matter lets staff advise or refuse participation when it is unsafe.
